Our AMA sanctioned field is located at the Somerset County North Branch Park. The facility includes: a large grass flying area, transmitter impound station, frequency board, benches and restroom facilities. The field is open 365 days a year, subject to County and Club Event closures, which will be posted on this site and at the field.
All forms of RC Aircraft, Helicopters and Gliders are welcome. Sorry, no turbines allowed.

Field flying hours are as follows:
Permit
A County flying field permit is required and can be purchased at the Park Headquarters located next to the field. AMA Membership is required in order obtain a field permit. Contact the Park Headquarters for further information and Park office hours at (908) 722-1200.
Flying At The Field
In order to fly solo at the field (without assistance) you must first perform the required solo flight test which can only be administered by a County Certified Check Pilot. Solo flight test requirements are available on this page.
After you have completed this requirement, the Check Pilot will affix a Solo Pilot sticker to your Park Field Permit. Until you fulfill this requirement, you must fly with the assistance of a certified flyer. This is for your safety and the safety of others.
